Dave asked for pictures.  My bike is dirty but this is the Supertrapp exhaust.

do you really have a v8-pinto?  We  used to drag race a pinto with a 429 , tunnel ram, nos, and wheel tubs

Yeah, I built my Pinto in (roughly) 1993 and have been racing/driving it ever since.  I built the engine, it's balanced/blueprinted etc. and I popped some juice on top.

Yep.  Open can, no disks.  I bought the muffler and it came with about 5 or 7 disks.  I tried running it like that but it was choked off.  I started to put washers in between the disks but got bored real quick.  I just pulled off the end cap and it runs great so I left it like that.

It's pretty loud but I have to have my vehicles loud to drown out my <insert least favorite person here>

What I was considering doing was this....  I saw where Supertrapp sells an end cap with a sliding window in it.  You slide the postage sized opening to the side and you've got essentially an open exhaust.

Since it is against my religion to pay for something I can make, I was going to try that with my end cap.

But it's fine like it is so...... ya know.
