Title: CB 1000 10 speed?
Post by: callmelenny on July 06, 2005, 02:30:36 PM
Anybody had any experience with Honda CB1000C? I think it was only made in 1983?

It has a shaft drive and 10 speed tranny (5 hi/ 5l lo)

I'm tempted by one locally but am scared by its unusual construction.

What, is it an "Enduro" Cruiser?    I don't see why it needs HI/LO...  Honda did their on/off bikes like that...  Honda 90s have 4 HI/4 LO with a centrifugal clutch.

This is all I know about them:  http://100megsfree4.com/honda/h1000/custom.htm

i have one, well a 1980 900c.  same thing just the later model.  i like it.  the tranny works well, very useful i think, but not really essential.  but there is one thing about it.  it says honda on the tank and on the forks......
