Most of the sites i've seen have the chain priced around $90, but then i came across this : http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/ItemBrowse/c-10111/s-10101/p-100000138274/mediaCode-ZX/appId-100000138274/Pr-p_CATENTRY_ID:100000138274
doesn't say if it's o-ring or x-ring or whatever else... think this would be ok? it is a 520 x 110.
I like a good deal too, but I would not buy a $20 chain.
The chain is an important peice of the motorcycle, dont go cheap.
Visit http://www.bbburma.net/ and click on "chains and sprockets". Prices are a little old, but should give ideas. You can probably get an O-ring for $50 (+s/h).
With contstant care, (e.g., Scottoiler), you can probably get a no-ring chain to last more than half as long as an o-ring chain, in which case you will save up to $10 over 10k miles... not too much.
thanx for the insight.. i ended up going with an x-ring from dennis kirk for something like $55.
nisus i was gonna say check out the dennis kirk online for the xring thats what i got does great and hasnt streched anymore than the oring i bought from the local dealer last time for 86 bucks and i paid 58 for the xring
