Title: headlamp / horn switch
Post by: scottpA_GS on July 11, 2005, 07:15:13 PM
Hey...

The other day my headlam low beam started being intermitent (sp). now I have no low beam. Also, sometimes my horn works.. sometimes no...

I am guessing that it has something to do with the connections in that assembly.. is it easy to take appart? Anyone else have horn/light switch trouble?

Thanks

It is easy to take apart, on my '05 gs500f there are two phillips screws on the underside of the assembly, then you take it off in two halves and can see all the components right in front of you.  When you put it back on there is a allignment post (plastic) that goes in a hold on the handlebars, don't forget the choke cable, and put the screws back in and you are back in buisness.  To me it sounds like you have a corroded connector or wire in there somewhere.  Also you low beam phillament on the headlight might just be burnt out.

The horn has a little philips screw on the back of it that you can adjust, play with that a little.
