Title: Ignition key door

My '92 GS500e does not have a little door thing to cover the inside of the lock tumbler.  (Not like the gas tank, like on a car door. The little sliding thing almost inside the tumbler)  It seems like there should be one as the lock faces upward, and would catch water.

Does anyone have this little door thing?
Am I supposed to?
Is is jammed in there or something?

I wouldn't sweat it too much...  You'd have to take the lock apart to get to anything in there...  Or flat-out replace it.

If you're worried about the works getting jammed up, just lube it up from time to time. :dunno:

Those doors, or the spring that closes it, eventually wear out and stick open.
