I needed some huge ass fuel line (not a GS item) ... so I bought 5/8th dia heater hose from a auto parts shop ... looked very much like radiator hose really ... now will it hold up to gas ??? anyone know.
Cool.
Srinath.
the pep boys in my area carries 5/8" ID fuel line, but it is not particularly cheap. I'd think that radiator/heater core hose ought to hold up to gas, but I've never used it for a fuel line so I couldn't say for sure.
Radiator hose will hold up to gas just great ... they didn't have it in the 5/8th ... they had similar one in heater hose ...
Cool.

The distinction between heater hose and radiator hose isn't manifesting itself to me - you mean heater core hose? I thought it was identical to radiator hose, i.e. both have to hold hot coolant under pressure...

can i have your job..... or your paycheck :)
did you get rid of the RS?
I would try it, if it is like radiator hose I would think it would be ok...
but you may be right in questioning wether it will hold up over time or not. A fire near your netheregions would not be good.
