The white switch on the the bottom below the unused screw terminal?
(not in the circle)

Thats the secret "go faster" button. :nana: :nana: :nana: :nana: :nana:
But seriously, I dont know. I have to go see if my bike has one of those.
Looks like a zip tie to me.
ditto on the zip

Roger that. (I just went outside and double checked the bike that the picture was taken of.)
OK, I looked closer, ziptie it is.
Now what is unused terminal for?

lol. very cool. haha.
The switch in question is part of the circuit that kills the engine if you pull the clutch in and try to ride off with the side stand down. There is another switch that operates off the the side stand

That would be called your "Neutral Safety Switch"
I was messing with it when I had to replace my clutch lever recently....
I kinda like the idea of the go faster switch.... 8)
He's now talking about the screw mounted tang to the right of the circled clutch safety switch.
I would like the secret switch to be a secret anti-theft ignition cutoff switch.
Hell....who knows...I don't have one on my GS...I guess it's fast enough and does not need the extra boost....I can beat a Vespa and a Razor scooter so I guess I'm doing pretty good.
i guess someone has disabled all my safety stuff, bike starts with kick down, and i have rode mine off the center b4....

Yep, thats the ?

There isn't anything for the center...
the only safety for a kickstand is can't start a bike in gear with the side stand... neutral is ok
Ok since I have broken that switch I am fairly certain that it is the switch that requires you to pull the clutch in to start the bike.
no safety precautions for me at all. When i park in the garage each night i click it into neutral. get on the next day and start it with kickstand down, let it warm up while i finish breakfast. So i don't believe there are any.
jordanearl, if you click into first with the side-stand down, does it die?
nope, i can do anything i want in any combination an it still runs. Its a 90 in case that matters.
The idea is this. You can start the bike with the side stand down, but as soon as you dip the clutch to put the bike in gear it kills the engine. Idea is to stop you riding off with the stand down. If you can pull the clutch in the circuit has been disabled which is not a good idea.
