Title: losing my mind
Post by: 97gs500e on July 14, 2005, 10:16:37 PM
I dunno what the deal is..

My bike only starts on a push-start, or if the engine's hot.  Battery(fully charged) & plugs are new.  Full tank of gas.  Carbs were cleaned.  I just check valves, and they meet factory specs, they don't need any adjusting.

I don't want to wait two weeks for my local Suzuki dealer to service my bike (they're way backed up).

I just want to ride!!! What should I do??

A new thread, eh?  OK ... if we're going to start over, let's have it from the beginning.davipu said.  What happens when you bypass the starter motor relay as described in this post (http://gstwins.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=76808#76808)?

If the answers are YES / YES / NO then we need to figure out why the starter motor isn't engaging whatever it is that makes the engine turn around.

If the answers are YES / YES / YES then we're back to checking for spark and other things which are obviously working (because you can push start the bike).
