I dunno what the deal is..
My bike only starts on a push-start, or if the engine's hot. Battery(fully charged) & plugs are new. Full tank of gas. Carbs were cleaned. I just check valves, and they meet factory specs, they don't need any adjusting.
I don't want to wait two weeks for my local Suzuki dealer to service my bike (they're way backed up).
I just want to ride!!! What should I do??
join the club, sell your mind on ebay and make a few bucks.
no but really, try cleaning the starter contacts or even if you can find one really cheep replace the starter.
A new thread, eh? OK ... if we're going to start over, let's have it from the beginning.
* Starter relay clicking?
* Starter motor turning?
* Engine actually turning over?[/list:u]If the answers are NO / NO / NO then you need to check the appropriate interlocks (start button, clutch switch & sidestand switch). The ignition switch and engine kill switch are obviously working because you can push start it.
If the answers are YES / NO / NO then you should check the battery for sufficient "cold cranking amps", and the starter motor contacts like
davipu said. What happens when you bypass the starter motor relay as described in this post (http://gstwins.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=76808#76808)?
If the answers are YES / YES / NO then we need to figure out why the starter motor isn't engaging whatever it is that makes the engine turn around.
If the answers are YES / YES / YES then we're back to checking for spark and other things which are obviously working (because you can push start the bike).
Kerry, you left out "yes-no-yes" and "no-no-yes"...

In that case... cal your local electrical engineer... he/she will want to see that REALLY bad...
