Hello,
When driving my 93 just after an upshift I hear some noise, sounds just like "things" have to fall in place. I checked the drive chain, looks fine and looks like it has the right tension (although I've been running it for over 20k miles).
So I was just wondering if the cam chain tensioner is getting a bit loose. The bike has 50k kms or 33K miles. The sound dissapears after a few seconds after an upshift. Is this the typical sound of a loose cam chain? Or should the sound be continious if it is the cam chain?
TIA
Cheers

On a side note: been ages since I've been here. I see Srinath and Kerry are still here, do Bob Broussard, Mark from Spain, Pantablo and all the others from a few years back still hang around here?
When I had a loose chain, I usually heard the rattle when first starting out or changing speeds... Sometimes it would **ting** on the centerstand and slap around.
As for the rest, someone that know that they're talking about will have to chime in.
I think we are talking about different things here. :dunno:
Do you have a uni filter? I had a similar sound and it turned out to be the metal end cap of the uni that had come off and was rattling around in my airbox.
I haven't thought of the filter option. Will check it today. Thx a lot all.
