Title: is there a restrictor kit you can buy for the GS500?

a friend of mine from another site lives in the UK needs a kit to restrict it to 33bhp to ride, wondering if you guys ever seen one? :dunno:

can't you just remove the plates after testing? how would anyone know? Is a cop gonna take your bike apart and check it if you get pulled over? I say... Stick it to da man!!!  :guns:  Ride restrictor free!!!  :cheers:

Of course if you wreck out killing a bus load of school kids your wreck will be taken by the insurance company for evaluation.
If THEY notice you are no longer restricted then you will quickly find yourself with no insurance cover, no bike, and a hefty legal bill heading your way.  :o

I'll have a look at my certificate when I get home.

I seem to remember that it has to be fitted by a certified garage.
They tell you who does it locally to you and then the garage orders the appropriate kit and fits it.
