My first bike was a Honda Trail 70. I wish I had kept it, I hear they are worth alot now.

This guy's (http://www.bmwscruz.com/motorcycles/1998/98f650_1.jpg) identical twin.
For someone of my size (or lack thereof), a terrible first bike (especially because the steering head bearings were shot, and I didn't know it). I'm surprised I never dumped it.
Traded it for an '00 GS500E.

1992 Honda Z50R
I got it for Christmas brand new when I was 6 years old. I miss that thing. I really wish I never sold it.
Suzuki X-6 Hustler (2-stroke with about the same top end as the GS500 - but much easier to get the front up)
2001 GS500, 700 miles later it was wrecked, now in process of rebuilding.

Damn. Beaten by 10 minutes to declare my GS500 is also my first bike:

had a ts80 with no brakes (ran it into a house and destroyed it)
next was a ts185 bored 120 over (by speedo it would go 120mph across the cornfield--- not to smart I guess)
then was a 750 - 3 cylinder (never got it running)
then a secca II
then the gs

bought it for 150 bucks in a box and built it myself. I should clean the carbs and break it out again.
Jake
1978 Honda XL100
Rode it for a while then completely tore it apart. Repainted and cleaned everything, put it back together. Got it in like 1990? just sold it a couple years ago, pulled it out of the garage after a few years of sitting, fired up after a couple kicks.
It was almost exactly like this one I found on the web.... minus some mud.

1965 Yamaha YG1: 80cc 2-stroke, 4 speed, 1st year with oil injection, 45+mph downhill
(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v213/manofthefield/DSCF0044small.jpg)
Got it from my grandpa, sitting in his shed for 30 years, then my dad and I brought her back to life. I rode it to work some for a summer and always to classes that fall (2 years ago). I miss that bike :(
My first bike:
got it when I Was in fifth grade. I asked for a cd player for christmas--I got that instead. My life would be much less awesome I think if I had gotten that cd player.
That bike was the precursor to mine. Mine's a 1967 YCS1 180. 2 stroke oil injection. Haven't ridden it in two years because the injection tubes rotted. I'm gonna disconnect the autolube injector and run it on 32:1 premix.
jake
Mine was a 1980 Honda CM400T. My neighbor gave it to me for free!!! :thumb: I still have it and it should run. Learned to ride myself and wrenched on it myself and brought it back from the dead. (never worked on a motorcycle before that in my life)
Gotta break it out someday soon. Anyone want to buy it??? :)
2001 gs500
First bike was a 1968 Bultaco Campera. First bike I could ride everyday, a 1977 Kawasaki KD125. Both are sitting in my shop. Hope to have them running again........SOMEDAY!!
My first bike was (if you can count this) a homemade minibike type thing made out of an old swing set and a 5hp Briggs and Stratton Lawn Mower motor. That little thing could move. Then I got a 69 Honda Super 90. The tranny went on it though and i've had a hard time finding parts. Then I pulled the 1970 honda cb350 that had been sitting in our barn for 20 years out. New points and plugs, an oil change and she's been going for two years. Currently our garage is overrun by bikes but I won't ever sell them. We have those two hondas plus a completely restored Honda Dream 305, a Harley Sportster 1200, a xr200, and my GS.
My GS is the first bike, maybe coming up on my second bike.
ATV's 2000 Polaris 325 Trailboss, 1999 400ex, 2001 Kawasaki Bayou 220, and a 2003 Yamaha Blaster.
1995 gs 500
a honda 50 mini trail took my virginity. then the propane man ran over it in my yard .
My first bike is a 2004 GS500F in yellow. I've been riding for 6 days now. First two days were at the Basic Riding Course. I bought the GS400F a last Saturday from a local dealership. I rode it around the block a few times on, and then put about 6 miles on it Sunday. Monday, I took another course at the riding school because I was not very comfortable after my first course. We rode for about 7 hours at the school. When I got home I had to get on my GS500 so I put another 10 miles on the bike. Yesterday (tuesday) I rode my bike over to my friends house and then around the neighborhood. I actually navigated some artirials and got the bike up to about 40 MPH which seemed really fast since I'd only been up to about 25 previously. My goal is to get on the freeway by this weekend. All in all I've put about 30 miles on the bike. I wish I had more time to ride, but work cuts out a large part of my day.

Ist bike? I remember it well. I bought v.i.n. CL77-1011796, a new red & grey Honda 305 "scrambler" on 10 Aug. 1966. I put over 21K on it in three years and sold it in August 1969. Sold it for $300 and used the money to set up "house", 'cause I was getting married that month. Still married to the same girl(woman) and have owned a motorcycle every year since 1966.
2005 GS500F - now with a little over 800 miles and still loving it :)
My first bike was a 1974 Honda CB750 K4, that was a behemoth, first of the "sportbikes". My second was a 1990 GS500e and as of recently, I'm on a 1989 Yamaha FJ1200.... that thing is a damn rocket sled.
Not sure what year ,60's, but it was a Harley Rapido.
When I was 10, I got a 5hp mini bike. Even had front suspension.
It had a clutch brake. It was an interesting ride when the chain would pop off and no brakes. I added a drum brake to the front wheel. Started modding early. ;)

my first bike was a trail 70, my mom gave it away when I was 14 because she hated me riding it on the lawn, so when I went to visit my dad for a summer she gave it to some dude down the road.....ohh...she will pay for it
