Title: New Rider
Post by: vtmdg on July 20, 2005, 04:13:03 PM
Hello, I just purchased a 2004 GS500F for my first bike... yellow and black. I absolutely LOVE this bike and just wanted to see what other people thought. I do have a slight problem... My right side review mirror is missing one of the screws that attaches the mirror arm to the fairing. I'm not sure if it was missing when i left the dealership or not (maybe my tight cover made it loose), ANYWAY, does anyone know how i can purchase a new screw with a black cap? Also, anyone in the Northern Virgina/Washington DC area who likes to ride?

This is a good test of the dealership - stop by with the bike and ask nicely for that screw.  It was either missing when you got it, or was too loose (it shouldn't be vibrated to the point of falling off on an '04) when you got it, and either way, it's a good $0.40 gesture on their part to replace it for you.

Welcome, and you have good taste... :)

Welcome and congratulations.  Good choice, although I'm a bit partial to the blue..  :)
