This place has helmets roughly $70 bucks cheaper than any retail location. I just ordered a KBC VR-2 for 160 bucks that retails for 240 area. I know it seems too good to be true but they got great reviews on BARF (bay area riders forum) which i trust cause everyone on that forum is a gear nazi. Anyways, check it out if you need a good helmet quick...

I got the KBC FORCE RR, and I must say their quality is o.k., but for 130 I paid I am really impressed since it was lighter than the AC-11, looks cool, vents decent, is snell approved, and the interior is really nice, a little sparce in there but still nice. Plus the looks, oh did i mention it looks cool.

I'm going to assume you have (or had) an AC-11. I've got the same helmet, and I'm looking for a replacement (KBC and Scorpion are top on my list, but Scorpion helmets are hard to come by here). A couple of questions :
1. is it as quiet?
2. is the venting as good?
3. have you tried taking on/off the shield (I find the AC-11 shields are a total pain in the butt to change)?
4. how's the sound proofing?
5. do chicks dig it? Kidding.. or maybe not. I'll ask my wife first.
ok so who online has the lowest prices on scorpion lids?
No I didn't own a AC-11 but my friend who rides owns one from 1-2 years ago and we put them on a scale the KBC was like 4.1 lbs and the AC-11 was like 4.4 lbs, I really cant remember the exact numbers but it was a touch bit lighter than his, and this was done on one of those grocery market scales so it could be way off, but when you pick up the two the KBC seems a bit lighter.
As far as venting goes, i have only tried on my friends AC-11, and test rode with it under 30 MPH. I liked the AC-11 alot, but when I went to go buy it I stumbled across the FORCE RR and was pretty impressed. The venting on the FORCE RR is decent but I guess I can't really compare it to an AC-11.
The shield removal is awesome. It is very similar to a SHOEI system with just a pull of a "lever" thing and out it pops, its really cool.
Wind noise and sound damping is good, although if you dont go with the RR version the "air scoop" on the top is not there so it would probably be quieter.
What is nice is that the KBC logo is really meant to be removed so you take it off and nobody knows what kind of helmet it is, people always tell me "sweet helmet"
One thing I must warn you about is the quality. The shell seems rock solid, its the little vent deals on the sides, the plastic seems a little cheesy to me. I guess they should have used a good ABS but is kinda chinsy(sp?).

scorpions are going for MSRP pretty much everywhere - I lucked into finding an exo-700 in my size on ebay for $140 shipped, but haven't seen any near that price elsewhere
For Scorpion, try terrapowersports.com, I think that is the cheapest place that joerocker found it at when he was looking. I got mine from there, love it just bought a dark visor and aero skirt today!!
they are still 200.
I ordered some stuff in the past and never had a problem.
I got a Suzuki Jacket and pants at closeout and that had a no
return policy. When I ordered the jacket online they called on
the phone the next day and reminded me that it was
a no return item.
Their closeout stuff is great.
I have been using ron ayers and dennis kirk lately.
Been pooling with a riding partner of mine to save on shipping.
I think he said that dennis kirk will match prices.
