Okay so today I'm on my way home from work doing about 85-90km in a 80km zone and I had just passed a couple cars so the only car left in front of me is a Ford Explorer in the left lane and I am in the right. As I start to pass him he throws his signal on and begins to turn into my lane and almost hits me before he jerks the wheel back once he sees my headlight and I stare at him as I continue to pass him. But he's not done yet...oh no heres where the fun starts. He changes lanes into my lane once I pass him and steps on the gas and starts riding my ass and high beaming me, so I downshift and take off ahead but he still keeps right behind me theres a red light way up ahead so I slow right down to about 30 in a 60km zone and he almost hits me once again....and now hes honking and high beaming me. I decide to switch lanes and he almost hits another guy just trying to stay behind me. We pull up at the light and this guy in a minivan starts yelling at him for cutting him off and then the light goes green so I take off and this guy is still riding my ass and still high beaming. We stop at another light a longer one and I am stopped behind a cop and the guy is still behind me honking and flashing his lights so right about now is when I lost my cool. Put the kickstand down hopped off the bike walked over to the guys window and it is an older man, but good thing he only rolled it down a little bit or I would of knocked him in the face with my astars carbon knuckle gloves, I look at the guys face and he is going retarded he is so mad, he starts yelling "STOP SPEEDING YOU LITTLE BASTARD, STOP FU#$^$ SPEEDING." I reply back "SHUT THE F@$^ UP YOU ALMOST TOOK ME OFF THE ROAD AND YOUR MAD AT ME? WOULD YOU F#$@ OFF WITH THE LIGHTS ALREADY." The guy opens his door and tries to climb out but he still has his seatbelt on and I'm tellin him to get the hell out of the car. I then look over at the cop and she is laughing and by now there is another guy yelling at the older man in the explorer and the cop just notions me to just take off. So I hop on the GS the light goes green and I was gone. :nana: :dunno:

I'm honestly thinking about a spark plug in the exhaust can and hook that up to a push button and a coil.
Before you said it I was like "Dude, get off the bike and go back and see WTF he has to say. :nana: " If he would have tried stepping out of the cage he would only have been half way out before I shoved the door back and he got a face full of door jamb. I don't necessarily believe in violence but that guy would have deserved the carbon knucks or a door back at em!
Honestly, the best thing in thoes situations is to ignore the person. change your direction, make a u turn, or slow down and let him pass.
I know you were not at fault, but you just dont know what some of these crazy road raged people will do. He might have had a gun, or just been looking for a fight.
No doubt I would be pissed in that situation as well, but sometimes it is better to err on the side of safety.
Funny thing to me is he was pissed at you for speeding, forgetting that all the while he was tailing you and speeding himself.
On the way into work this morning, a pickup pulling a trailer pulled into the far left lane in front of me to pass a semi in the middle lane, but he did so right at the start of an uphill climb and couldn't get up enough speed to pass. I signaled and shifted over to the middle lane, then the far right line and squirted past the semi, then signaled and moved back over to the center lane. About two minutes later that pickup with the trailer comes flying up the left lane, cuts over in front of me, and lays on the brakes. I signal left and go to move to the left lane to pass, and he whips over into the left lane. By this time I've had it, so I downshifted and laid on the throttle to get away from the moron. As I pass he starts screaming out the window something about crazy bikers, all while he's playing highway vigilante with a trailer fishtailing behind him everywhere.
This is at 5am on a mostly empty highway, and when I originally passed the guy I was doing an indicated 65 in a 55.
Yeah, I agree with vfrocket and that "the only way to win is not to play the game".
There are a lot of stories out there where a rider does something some driver doesn't like and we have a conflict. Since we're smaller, the best we can hope for is a tie.
Getting chased is no fun if someone gets hurt.

Whenever someone starts yelling at me, or giving me gestures, or cutting in front of me and slamming on their brakes and just gettting all pissy like that, I've found that the thing that I enjoy doing the most is just looking right back at them and giving them the biggest dumb smile and the craziest Forrest Gump wave I can do. (Of course the smile is only possible when I'm in my truck, but the big happy wave seems to suffice when I'm on the bike.) I love it. People expect you to get mad back at them, but when you respond with a smile and a wave, they feel like idiots.
