After checking these forums every day for the past year or so I have finally become a member. Unfortunately my first post is about selling this bike that I have grown to love.
I need help knowing what the proper asking price for my bike should be. I have come to regret my decision of buying this bike only due to the fact that it is not practical for my needs. Here's the deal...
My bike is a 2004 GS500F in nearly perfect condition, which was bought last September. The aethetic condition is almost excellent, aside from a minor tear on the side of the seat (caused by pushing the seat down improperly and the seat getting caught on something around the right helmet hodler peg). It has only 2977 miles on it, which were mostly from driving joy riding and the occasional errand. I have never raced the bike, it has never been dropped, and it has never been scratched. It has been garage-kept. The only problem is that I have been really bad at keeping proper maintenance. I have not had it serviced once, and I have filled her up with oil twice. I know, you don't need to lecture me. The chain has been cleaned and lubricated once. It has an extended Suzuki warranty, which by now is probably void since I have not done the manufacturers recommended services.
In your guys' more educated opinion than mine, what price should I ask for when I sell it?
Probably about $400.00. Yeah, that is fair. I'll buy it, if I must! :)
