Ok lots more can go wrong, but man after last night and having my bike moved and violated by some pinhead. (see previous post...)
I was heading home today from work and when I reached four blocks from my house I felt the bike totally lose power, and I started to smell burning oil. I pulled over and found that the bike was spewing oil from the oil-filter cover and one of the bolts had totally broken off. Good thing that I smelled the oil before any damage could occur. I am pretty sure that everything will be ok, and that I just lost a small amount of oil.
Now the big question.
What can I use to replace the bolt, as it is part of the engine? Do I have to drill it out and replace the bolt (this would require a tap.. and would be a pain in the ass..) or is it one of those reverse thread jobbies where I can unscrew the bolt with some plyers and go down to the stealer and pick up another set?

THIS (http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=23542.0) is the most appropriate thread I could find in a few minutes' time.
If possible, I would follow the advice given by starwalt. 'Course, I have a Dremel tool and a hacksaw.... :icon_rolleyes:
EDIT: I forgot to ask - did you get the broken part of the stud out of the block OK?
