OK, the horsepower trophy is a lot more impressive if you don't know what my competition was.
Other pics from the day.
I have never seen a lime green VMax. I can't say that I feel I was missing it.

Absolutely gorgeous custom paint.

This trod a delicate balance between cool and ugh. Everything that could be chromed, was; everything that couldn't was polished. The paint changed color as you walked around the bike. The owner had a matching helmet.

Good job on the ghost flames.

Another one with much chrome and polish. And a little bell on the back.

Busa. Not the one with 178 RWHP that had the top numbers of the day (with only a pipe and rejet to get that pull).

While I was there, I rode a Monster 750.

My bike felt rather plain after!

Monster wins!!!
Roastergal, nice pics thanks for sharing. I like the V-Max, it's an awfuly nice bike -green.
Congrats.....now all you need is a trophy case!!!
Those things are huge!
I have trophy envy... :(
I have never understood chroming the hell out of a sportbike - it looks incredibly tacky/bling-y and I'd think it would add weight as well. Not to mention all of the extra polishing you'd have to do everytime you cleaned the bike. Blech.
The taupe RF900 looks ugly too, but for some reason I dig the tan leather seat. It still looks like a wannabe Goldwing, though.
Congrats on the trophies!
how was the monster? did it ride well what about power
Nice Pics RG!
Nothing like bling on rice!!!
With carbon cans on the monster, i bet it sounded like a small block Chevy 350. I'm thinking it has less power than your SV. Still, a fun bike to ride, a nice step up from a GS.
