she's getting a professional make-over, full v&h exhaust w/ jetkit.

will know more later today when the wrench calls me back.

YEAH! Your bike is cool, even if its 'yeller'  :P How much is the shop charging for installing the jet kit? I'd like to take mine to get it re-jetted, thats a little over my head right now while I am still getting the hang of the beginner basics.

I bet she is gonna sound sweet and run even better.  :thumb:

Keep us posted.

rats!  :(

just got a call from the wrench, unable to find an aftermarket exhaust for the 'f'. he asked if she was strictly for the track, he could cob up an 'e' exhaust to fit the 'f'. since she will be dual-purpose (street & track) - i will just keep her stock for now (no jet-kit needed either).

if there are any flanges available please let me know  :thumb:

There shouldn't be any difference...

E exhausts should fit the F fine, he won't have to cobble anything.  The only difference is that the full V&H exhausts do not have the rubber stop for the center stand on them (the headers are also routed down the front of the bike differently, but not enough so to interfere with your plastics).  I have seen a GS500F here in town with the full V&H system on it.

thanks gang  :thumb:

there are a couple of other wrenches i can take her to, i'll get a 2nd opinion...

(though this 1st wrench is top notch, he can be picky - i had an '80 kz1000 he no longer wanted to work on :dunno: )
