Makes me love my GS that much more.  How can you get better?  Handels reasonably well, has got some get up and go ( iam 230 lbs ) .  Stops on a dime etc etc etc.

:)

i know about that "get up and go" your talking about. the first time i actually gave my wrist a good twist i was shocked by the acceleration that this bike has. it was pretty awesome!!

I've read on other boards that handling is drastically affected by a good setup.  If they just rolled one out for you, it probably wasn't set to your weight

How were the vibes?  I'm curious how it compares to our GS

Sounds like my review of the older S1.  A flash-to-pass switch is common on bikes these days; the GSX-Rs have it, my F650 had it, my Breva has it...

The more I see pics of the Triumph, the less I like the ass.

Hey guys,

As for the state of the bike, it was the demo, so no special set up at all. and as for the vibrations, I can't believe I forgot to write about it!

the shakes were out of this world at idle and low revs. mirrors useless, fillings shaking, hair standing on end..:o I mean absurd vibration. but at actual driving/roadway speeds, they were totally liveable. shakier than the GS, but nothing awful.

I don't want to dissuade anyone interested in testing one out. it was certainly educational, and I did have fun. just my $.02

oh, and as for the bag, it's actually quite nice. you can throw it on over a helmet, it's got a waist snap and some useable pockets for phone and misc items (even one across the chest strap, which is nice)

Regards,
Riz

You can get alot better.

Buell unfortunatley has the harley mentality of not selling a complete bike, but offering plenty of aftermarket mods that should be standard equipment.
