I  like the solo seat and the tail assembly. I've not heard of them before, but would be interested to hear feedback re:quality, fitment, service, etc. Thanks for the "heads up", and I hope we hear from someone whose had some experience with the products.

I'm too lazy to check that link, but if that is Wild Hair Accessories, then they are good, but pricey (wheeewww) and I think shipping takes a while and costs a lot.  But they've got some hot parts.

I have bought several things from them

Customer sevice is excellent

If they have items in stock, shipping is very fast.  He usually sends things priority mail. Some things, like the rearsets, may not be in stock and he has to order from Germany.  He did tell me that Gimbel has made modifications to the rearset design and they now fit all models of GS500. (previously may not have fit F version).

All of the parts I have ordered were of very high quality and he is VERY knowledgable about what he sells.  I would highly reccommend the Hagen F-1 mirrors, especially if you have lower bars.  They look fantastic (very sporty), stick out farther (over end of grip) but are lower than stock, and are made of high quality optical glass that is slightly convex? so it gives a slightly wider view.

By the way, I found out that Gimbel is one of the largest Suzuki dealers in Germany and they created accessories for the GS to sell in their dealerships.  The bike is hugely more popular there than here.

Unfortunately, no hugger or undertail.

I would recommend wildhair without reservation based on customer service, knowledge of product, and his honesty about when he can have something in stock and deliverable to the customer.  Are they pricey?  Yes, but then again, he is selling German parts that were, for the most part, designed for the GS500 specifically. (such as the seat and rearsets).

It's a case of you get what you pay for.

I don't think that thing does much for the GS500 as it is not fuel injected.......maybe just gets rid of rev limiter.

There is no rev limiter on the GS.  You know you've revved too high when the engine sound changes.  And that sound would be 'valve float'   Just ask the racers  8)
