And what are the problems with the 95??? I have one. all the older ones are the same as the 95, just a diff color.

as i thought then, no inter-model errors. What are the "usual" errors then?

There are no errors.  Most run like a top forever.

There is a dude from Sweden on this site.  His name is Hamu (I think).  He said it snows all the time there are that there are pinguins walking all over the damn place and that he had to take off his front fender to fit the tire chains.

Just kidding.

Hey, the GS 500 is a great bike.  It doesn't matter what year.  
I mean, some jetting problems, problems with fuel starvation, and a strange problem called Starwalts Syndrome, but we won't go into that.

OK Since You're the only swede here ... I am going to get even with you for making such a shitty car my 1990 volvo ... yea ugly ass POS Runs great though ... anyway ... GS'es are great ... valve adjustments, carbs though sweeden may have gotten different jetting ...

Ha ha ... we can buy them in good shape for 1/2 of that. 13-15-1700 depending on condition.

not suprised, blame our socialist goverment for that...

The fuel-issue sounded serious, anyone want to evolve on that?

My bad.  Hammu is from Finland.  That is the same as Sweden, right?
