Title: Rejetting sizes needed?
Post by: dablinkboston on August 03, 2005, 09:29:31 AM
I have read the threads and articles on here about rejetting first off and so now I have a good idea of why it's needed.

Although I wanted to know what sizes I would need if I had a v&h exhaust(which I already have, but don't know if it was rejetted), I want to put in a K&N air filter(not sure which kind yet, drop in or lunchbox).....so what sizes should I be expecting for those two or do I have to play around with it until I get light brown??

Where do I check to see what color it is?

What if I were to also add an ignition advancer from Bob B.?

I had been looking at his sight and it's quite helpful.  So a stage 3 would be with a lunchbox K&N and the exhaust??  Are those the numbers you would use?

What if you wanted to put on an ignition advancer as well?  Just up it even more?

Ignition advancer does not affect jetting - it will give better throttle response.

Thanks a lot!  Ok, so rejetting just goes for the air filter and exhaust.

Here's a good question, can you check the color for light brown or whatever it may be before you start the bike up and test drive it so that you don't have to go back and change it?  Can you check the color right after installation?
