If I order a replacement seat lock assembly (when I bought my bike there wasn't one on it),what kind of keys will they send me? Just wondering if they'll look the same as my ignition/tank key or be smaller or whatever...Anyone know?? They list two replacements:
16-1 LOCK SET,SEAT
95700-31840 (replaces 95700-31830)
and
16-2 LOCK SET,SEAT
95700-31840
Same price...whats the difference??
One more thing...anyone know how I can keep my seat from sliding back and forth? Its starting to get annoying when it shifts around...more foam padding/grips??
Thanks!

item number nomenclature
part number
16-1 is just a note that 95700-31840 superceeds 95700-31830 does that help Pastrami?
I have mine off at the moment. The lock cylinder slides out, giving access to the lock pins. You could have a locksmith repin it to match your existing key. In that case, you could get the lock used. There may be some people here who use James G's race tail, and don't need theirs anymore.
