them: my dial up isn't working, it just never dials and says no connection.
me: is the phone cable pluged in?
them: yeah.
me: could you check to make sure it is snug in the computer and the wall.
them: I just did but ok.
[pause while they look]
them: its in
me: try now for me.
[they try and maically I hear the modem sounds in my ear]
them: I forgot, i was talking on the phone that had the phone line.
what i wanted to say: sell you computer and buy and abacus. but then i don't feel like dealing with a caller trying to get his abacus to dial up....

ahh the rants of a bored guy.
