careful bats have rabies..

turn off room lights, open a door and then have a light outside, and then go at it with a pole near it to scare it.. it wont hit you, but it will fly low, dont be scared.. it should go out.

See bats use sound to fly and navigate ... You can have all the lights on and they wont care ... you can ge a news paper and sorta use it like a sheild and send it in the direction of the door, making sure you ahve a open path (no mesh doors ... those are murder) to the outdoors. However if you wanna kill it ... use a tennis racket and gentle hit, you dont want to shred it ... what a mess.
Cool.

My neighbor Wally had 17 bats fly into his house.

He sucked them up with a shop vac.  Gross!!!

You wanna borrow my cat? :dunno:

She sits on the picnic table in our back yard at night, jumps up and snatches bats out of the air as they fly by. :?

Cats are so evil. ;)

i'm the bat master. paper bag and a broom. You swat it with the broom and usually it gets stuck in the bristles and sweep it into the paper bag. Then set it free so it can go back to murdering mosquitos.  Here's a nifty tidbit. Bats have the same number of arm bones and digits as we do.  don't believe me, go do a google search.

It was crawling around on the floor and i managed to get a box over the top of it.

/This is it hanging on my LOTR banner at the head of my bed.

/It looked kind of cute till i pissed it off when i caught it

I actually had to catch it twice, cause i let it out of the box in my rats cage trying to get a good picture of it. But it managed to slip through the bars.

At least with a LOTR promo poster hanging over your bed, we can all be certain that there wasn't a girl in your room to be scared by the bat.

Promo Poster? Heck no, thats a 4x6 foot vinyl banner. I got it from the movie theatre i used to work at. And that banner has nothing to do with me not having a girl in my room. I just dont let her spend the night, she moves around to much at night.

they also taste like chicken, although your not going to get more than a couple bites from each one so you better start catching more if your hungry.

Yeah, well...    Goes to show you that even _I_ know what LOTR means.  :)

Actually, I've read the trilogy 3 times or so.  The movies were decent, but the books are BETTER.

I actually put that together a few minutes after I posted that, but had logged off the site.

I have to say, I'm not ashamed at all that I didn't know that.

I've even read all four of those books twice, many years ago, and I own the movies.

It is a lot better than SW, IMO.

and for some reason you always jump into the middle of the conversation with your nerdness in full bore.

Yeah.  I know what you mean.

That's odd too, because I've never been thought of as a nerd.

Kerry sorry but you are WRONG!!!

The movies are way better!  I can finish all of them in like a month if I watch them straight through without a pee break.

Oh, wait I could probably read the books in that time.

HOLY CRAP those movies are LONG.

Well, it was the original "mystery photo" anyway....

I'm surprised nobody has said something like "I don't need a Louisville Slugger in my room - I have a Smith & Wesson instead."

Sorry - didn't mean to encourage Tard Farm talk....

Well i dont have a Smith And Wesson, but i do have my dads old .22 rifle that he got when he was like 14. And dont need a Louisville anyway, cause ive got my hockey sticks, much lighter and a much longer reach.
