These things seem to be rarer than hens teeth, and I need one to replace the flayed stocker on my ;93.
When I do see one out there on Ebay it seems like either I've just missed the auction or get outbid at the last minute.
Any of you good folks know of a non-Ebay source for one of these? I've got some email inquiries into salvage yards but no luck yet.
I did find one guy who wants $75 plus shipping for a 93 Katana 600 shock but that seems steep, considering it's age and I can't verify the condition of it.
Thanks in advance,
Liz
harrass the Srinath, but then that's my answer for almost everything parts related
try //www.katriders.com
Check with Special K, he always has parts.

just keep in mind that when he gives you a price, its final. I tried to make an offer on a katana shock a little while back and he got pissed at me.
QuoteMy prices are normally 1/4 of new or 1/2 of what a bone yard would charge, and are not negotiable.
I never did business with the guy, so I don't know any more than this though.
You're probably best off waiting to find one. I eventually just bit the bullet and got a newer one through ebay. I used the "buy it now" option, but it ended up being cheaper than I have been seeing katana shocks go for as of late.
wait to find one...patience.
or try www.maximum-suzuki.com, they have a kat forum/section.
If I were you, I'd do exactly what you're doing now... making a post about it... but doing it on a Katana forum (http://www.katriders.com/forums/) would be better...........(searches).... if one existed!
-EDIT-
I just noticed dgyver's post, and have added the link to the Katana forum
A few minutes of googling turned up
The Suzuki Bikes Forum (http://www.suzuki-bikes.com/forum/) . Which unforuntately seems to be the *only* place for Suzuki Katana owners to congregate.
GSX-R riders have //www.gixxer.com. SV650(s) riders have http://www.svrider.com/ (or http://www.sv650.org/sv_forum.htm if you're in the UK).
I've also come across other boards for FZRs (http://www.fzrarchives.com/) and R6's (http://www.r6messagenet.com/)... but nothing for the Katana. Lame.
It would be nice if all the motorcycle message boards would link to one another... but only those dedicated to bikes of the same make (like all the suzuki message boards link together, etc). That way flamewars based on bike rivalries (VFR vs SV, Harley vs everyone-else, etc) could be avoided.
Besides being a good resource for people looking to learn as much about motorcycles as they can (as I have been doing recently), it would be a good way to communicate with some of our contemporaries on the more powerful versions of our bikes. (All the gearheads could talk shop, too)
try http://www.starkist.com/ for all your kan-a-tuna needs.
