- Jordan
its 2.55 for regular in columbus, ohio
$2.49/gallon for regular in Paris, TX (but the bmw prefers the taste of 93 octane @ $2.69)
We just pushed over $2.50 down here in the "cheap" south this week. $2.75 for hi-test. Friggin' insane!
I guess this is what happens when you get an administration full of people with big shares in the oil industry...
Oh well, at least it will make more bike/scooter riders and cause the extinction of of the Mega SUV. :nana:
About 2.67/reg unleaded. San Jose, CA
HAH still have you guys beat :dunno: not that thats a good thing?
i think im leading atleast until we hear from some cali riders.

it went from 2.37 to 2.51 yesterday morning here.
I think I paid 2.37 the other day for regular. Note to self: quit bitching about gas prices :nana:
Dave
$2.87 for regular in chicago suburbs...unfortunately my car takes premium, so $3.07 for me :x
I am waiting for our european members to chime in and comment on all that crying, they are paying more than that for years :)
$2.55 Johnstown, PA
This site has a bunch of info:

I think it's around $2.90 here... I'll find out tonight. :dunno:
All I can say is GET USED TO IT! And be glad you ride a 50 MPG GS.
It's over 3.00/gal up in San Francisco. Pandy, you got some cheap gas going for you! I paid 2.75 yesterday in Sunnyvale.
Its around 2.70/gal in Garden Grove, CA for regular gas :(.
Around 3 dollars for premium gas (which is what I use for my car and gs).
Good gas prices page here: http://www.orangecountygasprices.com/
I think that anyone here in Canada will have you beat. With the conversions of litres to gallons and CDN to USD, I paid 3.32 USD a gallon for the car (regular) and I paid 3.74 USD for premium in the bike yesterday night. Anybody in the UK or Caribbean want to raise the stakes?

Go with regular. Not only have I never noticed a difference in any car when I switched between premium and regular (except the Corvette, which only took premium), but my brother's teacher in the auto mechanic program says there is no discernable difference in a standard engine. I'd say our engines are standard. Just get good regular gas, like Chevron or Shell.
He's said some interesting things about oil also (and it backs up my decision to use dino oil in the GS5)
Dave

Oh I have to go with premium for my car. I drive a mercedes slk and premium makes a difference ;). I did switch to regular for the gs but when I brought it in for my bike's tune up, the mechanic smelt that right away and told me to switch back to premium. Apparently its better for carb engine type bikes (keeps it cleaner or less wear?).
back down to 2.69/gallon here now
-Jordan
5 years ago, who'd have ever thought we'd say "back down to..." and a dollar amount over $2? Not I, said the fly.
D
after three weeks of putting it off, I finally gassed up my car. The cheapest station I could find was $2.49 for 87 octane...
Who would guess: $2.49!
But I get the mid-level octane and it is like $2.55. My car only holds 9 gallons and gets 30 mpg, though. Which is nice.
Cars that get worse than 30 MPG are going to go the way of the dinosaurs... Since the dinosaur juice is running low.
Too bad we can't grind up the H2s and put them in our tanks. :thumb:

And Americans are stealing gas 'cause it's almost $3.00. :dunno:
premium gas= 1.13$/Litre up here. Expensive as shaZam!. there is 3.78Litre in a gallon. so you guys do the math.
In Austin, TX we're at $2.45. I just bought my 96 GS500E recently in order to stop driving my ford explorer and it's whopping 17 mpg.

Why is gas so expensive in Europe, anyway? Is it all tax, or does is actually *cost* more over there, too?
$2.55 in Indy
$2.70 northern california
Gas sells in Venezuela goes for about $0.11/Litre. It's almost worth the drive to fill up
1.08 a litre!
That`s canadian EH!
2.69 in between Fresno and Bakersfield, Cali4nia.
Saw 3.09 out in the desert by Lancaster, CA. That was for 89 proof.
In the UK fuel is more expensive for two reasons.
Mainly it is a higher tax level, supposedly to encourage frugality with fuel and rais funds for environmental issues.
There is also the fact that we use a more refined petrol than the US.
my two choices at the pump are
Regular unleaded: this is Ultra low sulphur 95 Octane fuel at 85.5 pence per litre
or
Super Unleaded: this is Ultra low sulphur 98 Octane fuel at about 92 pence per litre.
I use regular.
2.67...bloody ridiculous..
Someone is making some good money off of us.

Um. Over $6 here. You'll forgive me if I am unsympathetic at your cost of $2.67 :thumb:

The folks that are smiling all the way to the bank are the well head owners whose cost to refiners is the same regardless of pump price.
I suspect we've hit the point where we are globally demanding as much or more fuel than there is supply. If you can afford it, you should be able to get it -- it's global Ebay in action.
All this run-up can be life-changing if the price sticks or continues to climb. Right now it's just irritating, but we'll see heavy energy-consuming economies forced to rapidly change or get ready for a recession.
Ooo. Better take a pill and lay down again. I'm starting to depress myself. :(
PS. It's $2.79 here and road traffic is about the same, though I swear there are more motorcycles on the road these days.
Up here in good old over taxed Canada.
Specifically in Montreal.
3.45$ a gallon
Salem, Oregon
It about $2.70 for premium
Here in New Liskeard Ontario it's 1.03/ lt. (out at some of the remote locations like Gowganda, Elk Lake $1.12)
1 gallon (CDN) = 4.546 lt
1 gallon (USA) = 3.785 lt
Bad, but not as bad as Europe :o :x :o :x
Around my house here in Austin, TX, it's around $2.35 or so, + or - $.05 usually.
I was driving in Houston last weekend and saw my first $3.00/gal for regular gas price. I was shocked. I feel sorry for you, uPiX!
