Title: Tubes!?
Post by: dablinkboston on August 16, 2005, 02:20:21 PM
Ok, so I was following the instructions to charge my battery.  Very simple to take off the seat, I thought I would have to unscrew it.  I unscrewed the battery and undid those things....I started pulling up, but then realized I didn't detach the tube!!!

I looked down and saw that it wasn't attached to anything and so of course I thought that I took it off of something.  I looked at a sticker on the bike and it shows a picture of it and says that's to let air out for the battery.

Here's my question........is there also suppose to be a larger tube letting air out beside it or did I unplug something?

Ok, so I see a few people have looked at this post.  Maybe it's just a terrible question, I don't know, but any feedback would be great.

If you're asking about the other end, there are a few vent tubes that are bundled together at the vent end.

I'm talking about the tube the comes down from the battery just sticks out and let's it breath.  Although I saw another tube next to it and it is also not connected to anything.  I wanted to make sure that both of them are suppose to be like that.  Well at least the bigger one.

I know the smaller is suppose to be like that because of the sticker on the bike.  It's just below the crank case I think it's called.

Thank you so much.  I never realized that those tubes were there.  It's once you make a mistake you actually see it and so when I look at the bike now, that's all I see, those tubes and I wasn't sure if I did something wrong.  Now I've checked out all the tubes in the bike and have a much better idea of things.  You're the best.
