Quote from: rcepluchIt has always been my contention that the last thing a automobile driver would want to do is cause an accident with a motorcyclist. Motorcylists are so vulnerable that an accident that would kill or seriously injure him would probably cause little or no injuries to that same motorcyclist if he had been in an automobile.
I would strongly disagree with that statement. it is a generaliation like any other. I have been the subject of intentional attempted injury both on my motorcycle and many times on my bicycle. I mean, very clearly intentional-like they're screaming out their window that they're teaching me a lesson as they swerve into my lane (on my bicycle). Most car drivers arent paying attention but there are plenty of others that intentionally try to injure.
In general, I dont like seeing derogatory comments about car drivers or "cagers" because we're all out there together. Bicycle riders have harsh words about cars and motorcycles, motorcycles have harsh words about bicycle riders and cars, cars have harsh words about us all...lets remember that many of us are all three-car driver, motorcyclist, bicyclist.
Threads end up in the tard farm for a variety of reasons and I hope your thread doesnt go south due to someone posting inflammatory or objectionable content.

Hi pantablo,
I know I said I would not respond to this post, but this is just a clarification.
With respect I agree with your comments to a certain degree. Yes, there are some homicidal maniacs out there. But it was not my intention to direct my post in that direction.
The intent of the included post about "Stephen072774"s accident was to illustrate that I do not wish physical harm on any person.
I have edited my post to eliminate the paragraph that you have quoted. It is not relevant to my message. Thanks for reading.
Have a good day.
Bob
What is really the point of continuing a thread that was setn to the Tard Farm for a reason out in the open? What do you have to prove?
Quote from: rcepluch... But it was not my intention to direct my post in that direction....
hahaha...if we only had control of the destiny that affects our threads...ya just gotta let'em go....
this thread is dumb... argue elsewhere :nana:
haha, as I was reading that thread I did think to myself I didn't speak that hashly about the woman that DID hit me.
But OTOH, if it had been a near miss, I can imagine that I might have been more angry than after being hit... after the accident I was so happy to be alive and see my wife again that I couldn't possibly be mad. It is/was a very strange feeling that I still carry around. I seriously feel I was given another chance, thats a heavy thought. It changed me.
Bob,
I accept your olive branch. If I offended you with my use of language I apologize. I was trying to make a point. Many times I have been told that the normal language I use is somewhat over peoples heads and to communicate with the masses I use language that everyone knows. As far as the topic goes hopefully I will never have to opportunity to post a topic like that again but this probably will not be the case. So as opposed to catching up with the driver and kicking out her tail lights, which I seriously considered, I thought that this forum would be an appropiate place to vent my frustration. :dunno: :dunno: :dunno:

Hey "ajgs500",
Alright then. I think the case is closed. We can agree to disagree, but let's do it with mutual respect.
Happy trails.
Bob
