Used Z1000 at the dealership for 5995. I've bought a dirtbike from them before, good people, easy to haggle with. I'm most definitely going to grab it if they take in my Maxim for about 500. My question is weather dealers will take a bike fromm 85. I just sure hope they do, though. THe maxim is a quick bike for sure, but scraping the footpegs around corners is not preferable to my riding style.

The Z1000 is my dream bike. I have to drive by an orange one everyday on the way to work.
Man I wish You weren't so far away ... I'll pay you 500 for that maxim any day ... I paid more for mine, and may not have been as nice as yours ... Tank had severly faded paint and 2 dents ... else was perfect actually ... seat had some rips ...
Cool.
Srinath.
Yeah its a bummer, the things in near mint condition. If I can't trade it in I'll actually have to ebay it or something in the spring, and wait till next year.
If I move towards there ... I'll come by and get it ... ... Ebay may actually be better for you though ...
Cool.
Srinath.
That there's a purty bike. :)
I'm still trying to decide on this one. 2005 with 1300 miles. I can't afford it (well, I can afford it, but I can't justify it) with the SV as tradein. I can with both the SV and GS; it's basically a straight swap.
Urg.

Yeah a friend of mine bought a 02 superhawk the other day. After riding it I decided I don't like laying down on the tank, I'll stick with a more upright bike . Those gixxers are fun. I rode a GSXR600 around for a whole day on a dealer ride thingey, cool bike. Not my style though. I like em big and naked 8)
Roadstergal, it's time for an intervention

Ja... hey, on the other hand, I'd be back down to two...
It does have all of the trick suspension hooey that I would be wanting to do to my SV anyway.
put a gsxr front end and shock on your sv and call it money saved on your insurance premiums.
WA... no insurance necessary. I only carry it on my commuter.
I did price a comparable Ohlins suspension for the SV. Ow.

that might be the best color-scheme I've ever seen on a gixxer :thumb:
I'd go for it, you'll still have the moto guzzi anyway..
It's better in person. Metallic red.
The engine character is so interesting. Like a kitten at low revs, and turns into a beast when you crank it, both power and noise-wise.
i swear, some of you people change bikes more of then i change my underwear.

Ok, maybe it wasn't the cheat that smelled foul :)
