They used to have the price listed, I can't find it now, but it was upwards of $500 or more. Too pricey.

89-05 gs500 exausts are the same.
the only issue that was ever a concern was headder clearance for the fairing. the stock exaust has plenty of clearance, any slipon that you put on there is going to fit just fine.  the problem with the full system is whare the headder is coming down and the bend radius and the angle twards the the right side of the bike. i whould speculate that any clearance issues could be solved with some ceramic headder wrap.

Nikko offers full system 2 into 1  for the '04+ GS 500E.
The prices starts at US$760.00 for the 530 alu round cans.
US$900.00 for 530 carbon can
US$990.00 for Supersport oval alu can
US$1100.00 for Supersport oval carbon or titanium.

You also can choose between Supersport racing or Supersport NX can.
The difference is, the NX cans have a removable bd killer, the Supersport
are racing cans.

Shipping is an additional US$50.00 which is the shipping from Germany to our
office here in Arizona. There are no additional shipping cost within the US.

I don't know if it would be worth it to get the supersport full racing system.
I could but thats 1 full paycheck gone. On the other hand it could be a pretty sick exhaust system.

I'm saving for it at the moment, but a guy I know with a shop said he could get me a full yoshimura system, for around $400.  If it goes through I'll let you guys know how it is. :dunno:

The word "Racing" on your exhaust is just begging for a ticket.

Now, if you could put on the heat shield from the stock can...  heh... :thumb:

All the full systems I've been looking at say that they are for the 89 to 02 models. Why wouldn't it fit an '04 model as well?

As davipu said it hit's or comes really really close to the fairing.

Where I live during the summer there are almost as many bikes as cars on the road and I constantly speed during the summer, yes I know it's a bad habit, but I've been pulled over once and that was winter time. The emissions standards are no where near as tight as California and I highly doubt I would ever get a ticket for something aftermarket that isn't hazardous to other people on the road.

A couple beers and you could find a way to fit it with the fairing on guarenteed.

$500??? For a slip on? Forget that! Here's an Akroprovik slip-on for roughly $10,000 though http://www.parts411.com/acb/showprod.cfm?&DID=9&CATID=61&ObjectGroup_ID=3657

Here we go again....

I don't think Akra actually makes that.  We went through this about a year ago and it turns out that they never manufactured it, nor do they intend too.

I would love to be wrong about this, but don't get your hopes up.  It didn't use to appear on Akra's website, only on a few of the dealers sites, and never with a price.
