Okay I'm having an issue with finding pants that fit me. The problem is I have huge thighs and a big ass. My waist is a 36, but leather and something like those ICON jeans don't fit me.
Leather pants: If they are 36 they won't even pull up, so I have to go up in size. I ended up getting 40's to go up, but now the waist is huge, they are longer, and they are still tight in pocket area. But for leathers I guess I can deal with it.
The I was looking at some ICON jeans and some ICON textile pants. Same issue, I guess the jeans were okay, but it was still very tight right below my waist, the waist was absolutely huge, and they were very long. I was mainly worried about the length being off since they won't match up to my knees very well. I can always get the length hemmed.
Next thing I need to look for are over pants, but I have a feeling they are going to be the same thing. I don't have this problem with street clothes since I buy jeans that say baggy and such. This allows me to buy something close to my waist size. I just don't know where I can try on all the brands and see what fits the best.
So what are my options? Loose a little weight for sure. That will help some. What do I have to shop in the womens section now? :( I know I'm leaving myself wide open here, so go have fun, but mix it up some useful stuff too.
:P
I have a similar problem. I can't find pants that are long enough for my skinny waist. Womens pants are always too short in the inseam if they fit in the waist. And mens pants work sometimes but it is hard as hell to find a 28 waist and a 32 inseam. Keep looking and trying on or if you have the money invest in some custom made leathers.
I frequently wear womens clothing :thumb:
I might devote this weekend to going to every possible store and hoping they have more pants in stock, but I noticed they don't stock enough pants. I might call Newenough and see what they suggest. After that my only course of action is trying on women's clothing. I guess I could tell them it's for my sister who has a similar build.
And then maybe something custom. I'm sure that ain't cheap.
ajgs, the solution for you is simple:
Beer and ice cream. Every day.
If you really work at it, and don't cheat too much, you be wearing 36/32s in no time.
Worked for me! :thumb: The only problem is, how do I stop? :dunno:
I generally eat crap like that. I eat chocalte as whole meals. Problem is a very very high metabolism
I'll take a guess that you're pertty young? I had that kind of metabolism until I was 22 or 23... now it's painfully, achingly slow.
Yay for aging! ...I need a beer.
Milo, I am 25.

Same here, and I'm 37 (125lbs, 30w 30l, pants aren't a prob, jackets are)
I am currently wearing, as I write this, a pair of Hein Gericke size 12 women's leather pants (but you wouldn't know they's women's).

buy something that fit your thighs and butt...then, take it to a tailor shop and alter the waist and length.

Of course. The easy thing to do. I never really thought about having a tailor do that. I only assumed that they could only shorten pants. I never thought about the waist.
But now here's my question. Since I have to get such a bigger size, what happens to the knee protection. I've noticed the bigger the size the lower it goes to the point that the protection is nowhere near my knee anymore. Can a tailor cut a chunk off and move it up? I'm guessing they could, but now do you think that the pant's integrity are compromised somehow?

mmmmmmmm
its just the norm for ajgs having 2 of those x whatshama callits she was on about :)
If you can find a regular pair of jeans that fit you well, maybe you can take a crap pair of jeans, cut them into denim patches, sew them onto the new pair at appropriate spots. There! You've got motorcycle jeans now!
You can buy draggin jeans by waist and inseam. . . they also carry baggy, loose and regular. As far as leathers the HD shop had leathers by waist and inseam also.. . of course those had fringes on them :dunno:
As of right now, I'm leaning towards something like this. At least for my commute to work and stuff. http://www.motoport.com/detail.asp?InStock=1&PriceCall=0&Merchant_ID=G7Y9CEYc&Product_ID=830.102.509&Merchant_Company=Pants%20Gear&Category=Kevlar
It seems like it would be a good balance, and I'll look into custom leather pants maybe, but for now I just need some protection for street commute no faster than 45-50mph. Mostly stop and go though.
These are good.

A few years back there was a craze amongst the girlies to wear mens Levis, they would buy for the hip size which meant the waist was the about 4 inches bigger than they required so they got a couple of darts put in by a dressmaker/Dry-Cleaner/alteration shop. On the "Hood Jeans" site click "sizes" and scroll down a bit there is a waist - hip - leg correlation chart that might be helpful whatever type you buy.
I had to buy a pair of women's Olympia gloves because men's gloves fingers are too long for my hands...
The gloves were initially tight but as wore off the gave a little more room...
Hahahahahaha!!!!
That shaZam!'s too funny
