Title: Best Motorcycle Magazine?
Post by: Neon01 on August 30, 2005, 09:23:31 AM
New to the riding scene, and I'm already hooked.  Any recommendations for the best magazine out there for new bike/gear reviews, good articles, tech files, etc?

TIA

there's no reason to buy one when you can look at them all online.

The british magazines are good because they venture beyond the monthly review of the latest 1000cc sport bike.  They tend to give a lot more attention to the small displacement bikes (but they tend to think the GS sucks, for some reason).

Yea, Motorcyclist is good.  They keep it fresh plus have the hard numbers page in back with the performance data of featured test bikes.  In comparison, Cycle World is a bit stale-is still held together with staples-has older editors, take themselves real serious.  But, either are worth the 9 or 10 bucks for 12 issues delivered to your mailbox.  Good photography, good adverts-like the new Piaggio BV500 scooter...wow-and there's always a pretty face to be found tucked inside-they know their demographic.

I can't imagine shelling out 3 or 4 bucks for a magazine.  :guns:
