I dropped mine again, too.  In the driveway last night, trying to get it up on the centerstand.  It probably didn't help that I had a 50-lb bag of sunflower seeds on my head at the time.

Don't ask! :nono:

Start your own courier service Kerry?

BTW, a 50lbs bag of sunflower seeds must be huge!  Better get a picture of it up here, balanced on your head.

Naw, I was planning to do this:

But I didn't want to set the bag down and pick it back up again.  (DUH!)  So instead I had to call my wife downstairs to help me pick up the bike.  And then I had to pick the bag up again after all....  :x

That should help you practice your wheelies!

I thought perhaps the "50-lb bag of seed on the head while putting a motorcycle up on its center stand" was the new "book on the head for balance and grace" that some learn in charm school (which I obviously never attended :P).

Joe, you need to visit the "Aaah! I dropped it!!! (http://www.gstwins.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=20498)" thread that GSJames started.  Misery loves company and there's been several baring their souls in it.

I know Kerry's mistake all too well.  Balance of risk versus consequences.  Cutting corners.  My last drop was caused exactly for that reason.

That is a great way to carry the bag of dog food I need to pick up tonight. Where abouts did you pick up that rack on the back?

Well, I guess I've thoroughly hijacked JMyrick's thread now.  (Sorry about that.)

About the racks, see my Riderhaus page.  I got my Five*Stars stuff straight from Germany back in 2002, but the current route is to special order through Twisted Throttle.

I dropped mine today when I forgot to put it in gear before I got off it... of course the wheel was locked to the left so it took a nice spill. I grabbed it halfway to the ground so I think I saved myself a busted mirror but I messed up the exhaust some bad...

ah yes, the inevitable centerstand. Just don't try to put it on that stand while you're straddling the bike. Trust Me.

Gravel is a bike's worst nightmare. I made the mistake of trying to pull over on a gravel shoulder once. I wouldn't recommend that. Making a u-turn in it would be quite a challenge, I think.

QuoteWith her 147 cm, Yun Yun's job opportunities are very limited. She would not be tall enough to qualify for many universities.

For example, law schools accept females only over 155 cm and males should be over 165 cm saying short advocates or judges will lack authority in court, the report said.

Foreign language departments and most international oriented studies have height requirements as well.

This is just cultural difference with another reason to pay thousands of dollars to make yourself different.

I want to be different, just like everyone else.

"You're all individuals!"
"We're all individuals!"
"I'm not."
"Ssssh!"

I won't pay money for surgery to be taller, prettier, or have bigger fun bags.  And the shallow asshats who care can go fornicate themselves.

I married a short one, too: 4'10".  So no Chinese law school for her, I guess.  Also, I'm rediculously tall, 6'5".  Everyone seems to think they're clever by pointing out how short she is and how tall I am.

Ja, I dated a 6'2" guy for a while.  The logistics were a little interesting.

Just a question not trying to piss you off but have you ever really cared about what anyone else thinks, I mean everyone is diffrent and like its been said before F them if they dont like you the way you are. One more question about the quote above do short people get pissy faster then tall people. :dunno:

I think all women are perfect just the way they are. And by "the way they are", I mean with huge racks, model-worthy faces and 1% body fat.

Here come the thrown objects...I'd better duck  :o

My ex has the same, but 36 around. She's by no means fat, nor tall. She's short and it amazes me that those legs can hold up so much boobage.

Oh, I still get benefits, you know?  ;)

... Seems to me there was another thread about a similar topic, and it degraded in much the same way. ...

Let's hear it for men and women riders, no matter what their dimensions.
