San Diego $2.75 at lunch time today.

Got lucky, because I saw some places for $3.05
San Deigo typically has the highest gas prices in the country, what a change.

The local carryout went to 2.99 a gallon today for the cheap stuff.  3.19 for the 93 octane.

I dunno how much it is per gallon but its undoubtly just as bad here in Canada, its at $1.109 CDN per liter here at the cheapest station in my town so I fill up there every couple of days. Its only $1.069 on the Native reserve...  :(

I live in a small town too, I think it's technically called a villiage.  I do not even want to think about moving into a bigger city.

Title: Evidently

Evidently in Charlotte on Tuesday most gas stations had like a week+ or supply, when the hurricane hit and shut oil rigs down, people panicked and emptied the stations in a few hours on wednesday. Whooo hooo for mass hysteria ... BTW I am hoping I dont need to fill till next week, having 1/2 tank in the Ovlov, and 1/4 in the truck and 1/2 in the virago. supply seems to be back at the stations, but $$ are high still, I'd prolly wait it out to get a better $$ ... cos I a sorta immune to mass hysteria, and a hard core cheapskate.
Cool.

Southwest of Richmond, VA it was 2.89 for regular.  I keep both driver cars full, but did fill one of the trucks just in case I need some extra or the prices keep going up.

Not too bad! :thumb:   I still have 90 miles or so left on my tank...  I'll worry about it in a few days.

Filling up before I head home...don't know what I'm going to encounter, but I think I took up biking at the right time! I have a Honda Civic, and it gets pretty decent mileage, but can't beat the Baby G!

I KNOW I got the GS at the right time....  Half my motivation was gas prices.

Moving from 15 MPG to 50 MPG was a smart move...  If I can get a place closer to work, I might just move to 80 MPG.   :thumb:

I don't do that well in the MPG, but I commute about an hour and a half a day (70 miles round trip), and the Baby G saves me in time (not stuck in traffic anymore since I'm using the carpool lanes) and saves me some $ on gas since I do get MORE MPG than in the Baby Blue Honda!  :thumb:

It varies from $3.19 to $3.59 depending on octane. However, yesterday I saw the price change three times.  Each time increasing by .10, .20. and .20 cents respectively.

Be glad you are on a bike.  I filled up my truck - that was a quick $70
