Scary...but I like it! :dunno:
A guy on www.thegsresources.com owns one of those. I never inquired about it really.
Evil Twin? Huh?
Oh...
:P
Hrm. Faux exhaust pipes under the seat, and teeny header pipes exiting near the rear wheel?
Tangentially, nice Aprilia RSV-R in front.
twin?
4cyl
??????
4 pipes?
two stroke twin 95 RWHP.
Hey I read about that bike in 'Rider' magazine. Really cool bike, but I don't think they were US legal.

all 4 exhausts are real. 2 underseat, 2 along side bike.
this is one of the classic two stroke race bikes from the 80's. 95hp but quite a bit lighter than modern 600cc bikes...
QuoteWith its reservoirs for gas, oil, coolant and adrenaline all topped off, the RG weighs 406 pounds. Given its 95 rear wheel horsepower from 30.5 cubic inches, the 500cc Gamma has a horsepower-to-weight ratio in league with the strongest one-litre Superbikes of not only its day, but the Superbikes of today!.

http://www.rg500gamma.com/I saw one at the rock store once. thought it was a tarted up gs...until I did a little research (and was slapped in the head by an experienced buddy).
Bad ass.
That's pretty impressive.
(Although - the superbikes of today do do better. Even the 600 is over 100RWHP with less than 400lbs on it.)
I htink it needs some exhaust enlargement surgery, its all about the looks dawg

not
completely wet. mine is around 435lbs wet and its heavier than others, but not by much. that weight is completely filled up with fluids, etc. And considering that bike is 20 year old technology, and just barely under the hp of today's bikes...hell, you can dyno many of the 600's of today and they wont pull 100rwhp, even though they're listed as such.
yeah, impressive too. My favorite part is the powerband:
QuoteDespite the engineering department's skillful and resourceful massaging, the Gamma's output curve still resembles a spike. Imagine a motorcycle that whistles along at 6500 rpm making 37.5 horsepower, and then in a single shriek doubles its output and more, reaching almost 70 horsepower at 9000 rpm. That's 37 horsepower concentrated in a single snap across 2500 rpm.
It's true, at a local bike day at our Land Air honda suzuki dealer they had dynos. An 03 GSX-R600 dynoed at 97RW HP.
I bet that thing is LOUD!
ring ding ding ding

Yeah, but this was made almost a decade ago. That is fairly impressive for a near-10-year-old bike. Sure it's a two stroke, but still, I bet that thing screams.

2005 - 1986 = X years? --> 1986 + X = 2005
X = 10??? :lol:
Seriously though, I bet 99% of the people here would love owning this vintage rocket. I know I sure as heck would :thumb: Looks old (sorta) and can still keep up with a modern 600. Of course that peaky powerband would take a bit to get used to I bet :o
Holy shaZam!....
You'd think for being an engineer I'd be able to do that sort of math in my head. Great... Now I'm all embarassed.
I guess in my head it's still the 90s. I don't want to admit I've grown up.

You earn a custom title :thumb:
:o hideous
sweet that it has 95hp though, skinny exhaust has to go!!!
 Only 72 RWHP on the Cycle dyno. No match for a modern 600 supersport --at least in street trim. OTOH, 2-strokes like the Gamma are/were forced out by enviro politics, not by inferior 4-stroke technology.

True. But even at 72 hp I bet it rips.
i thought restored = original
KAT wheels and later GSXR 4 pot front brakes??? :?
the power delivery of a 2 smoke... is FRIGGING INSANE
