I was thinking about it and I've finally come to this conclusion:
If I could have the events of any movie happen to me in real life, I'd pick Vision Quest every time.

i have a professor who worked on The Last Starfighter. Dr. Richard Weinberg. he (if i recall correctly) worked for the company that sold the supercomputer (a cray, i believe) to the studio for the making of the film. he came along as a sort of in-house tech support for the system.
