Read BOTH pages of this thread for some good information:

Good luck; post any other questions you might have, and learn to use the SEARCH feature, which will help you tremendously. Just about every problem you're likely to have with a GS has been encountered and solved by another member previously, so learning how to use the SEARCH can save you a LOT of time and aggravation when you need help.

BTW, next time you add carb cleaner to the gas, run the engine for a while, so the cleaner gets sucked into the carbs, then LET THE BIKE SIT so the carb cleaner has time to work. The stuff CAN help you, but only if you let it SOAK the carbs clean from the inside; simply running the tank dry is not going to help you much. Carb cleaner isn't an INSTANT cure, it needs TIME to work for you...

Well I broke down and took it apart, I did not take the carbs all the way but did take the bowl off and it looked like sh$&& ,I cleaned it also spray cleaner in the main.I put new fuel lines in with a inline filter. It runs alot better has a little cutting out about 1500 rpm in first the picks up and runs great. On the top end side it runs the beat at 70 mph about 7000 rpms.We will see if it gets better after a few more  days of running it.

OK it looked like crap and you sprayed the mains and dropped it back in and are wondering the cutting out at 1500 ... yea open it back up and swap your pilots for 40's and take out the mains and put in 125's and while you're at it, clean the emulsion tubes as well. Set mix to 3 out. and 1 #4 under needle.
Cool.
Srinath.
