Pretty sweet, but why is every manufacturer coming out with a puke color or two this year?
meh..
I'm waiting for the new 600/750 gixxers
me, ill be satisfied if i can find a gs500 basketcase :)
The Honda site (http://powersports.honda.com/motorcycles/) has been updated with all of the 2006 models. I want a 600RR or that yellow/silver F4i. :thumb:
I hate to say it, but the new 599 (http://powersports.honda.com/motorcycles/sport/model.asp?ModelName=599&ModelYear=2006&ModelId=CB600F6) is damn hot. I'm loving the integrated windscreen/IP and the fact they put inverted forks on the thing.
Yeah, that 599 might be hot, but the price tag isn't.
I am diggin the new 599. I am going to have to check them out ..... again!
Maybe it is time to see if you can get a deal on an old 599?
I like the colors on the 1000RR. Schwing!

+1
what advantage do you get from upside down forks?
I'm not a big fan of Honda but I gotta say the CBR looks hawt, not the bike for me though, ya gotta be able to see the engine on anything I own.
The upside down forks are stiffer, in theory, I suppose, plus lest unsprung weight.
97,
with USD forks you can make the walls thinner and lighter as now the larger outside tube is carrying the weight, with standard forks after about 43mm with dual disc brakes you limit how wide of a tire you can go to a 120mm or so. without widening the tripples, at which point you weakened the latural structure of the forks, then you add a brace which limits travel and it just becomes counter productive.

I may be crazy, but that scheme is interesting... not totally terrible :dunno:
I'll have to see it in the wild before I change my mind. In that photo, it looks like crap
The new 599 just may be the most beautiful thing I've ever seen... Everybody keeps comenting on the high price, but it doesn't seem any higher than your standard Honda.
I agree with vtlion.
I like the orange 600rr though...always been partial to orange. Not that I'll be getting rid of my 04 anytime soon though.
i'm disappointed they didn't make a supermoto like suzuki did with the drz. Speaking of which, I saw one of the DRZ's in person yesterday in black and it's very cool, but kinda priceyin my opinion.
jake
i think every bike is pricey compared to a gs500
