Hey all, long time lurker, first time poster, can't tell you all how usefu and entertainingl the information I find here is, no bike yet, but after the MSF, the GS500 will definitely be my first bike, as long as I can get it to a suitable height..
On to the real reason for my post, I spotted a black and silver GS500E parked by the burger bowl across from the CRC here at GATech, anyone on the board belong to this bike?

I'm a Tech grad ('01). GSU *definitely* stands for Georgia State Univ., lol.
I almost bought a '01 black and silver GS500 from a guy that used to drive it to and from tech... but he told me that he sold it.... no idea whether it was to another tech student or not.
I might head down there one of these days... i have a friend that just started there and I want to try to put her on the back of my bike if she'll let me.

I'm not a big fan of having other peoples balls rubbed on me. So, I definately prefer the female passenger.
And TB, even with your fancy GT education, your wrong. State doesn't even have a football team. Southern's got a pretty damn good one, not to mention, when our rugby team isn't suspeded the kick the crap out of the nancys who play rugby at Tech. The REAL GSU is Southern. Oh, and not to mention we are the fastest growing school in the state.

Lol. Misspellings aside (which i just did to mess with you... i'm sure your last message was probably dashed off too quickly), and no malice intended... Southern is most likely the fastest growing school because of the lower enrollment (i.e. if you have 100 students and you get 50 more, then attendance has just jumped 50% vs 50 more students at a school that has 1000 students). I bear Georgia Southern no ill will, but I wasn't even aware that they had a football team. In my experience, most people by far (inside and outside of Kennesaw), will recognize GSU as Georgia State.
BTW, the tech rugby team is just a club... which means its not sanctioned by the AA and probably 33% of the student populace knows it exists.
(But if its a peein contest you're-a-wantin... we can start drawing comparisons between the two institutions if you really want, heh heh). :lol:
Southern's Rugby team is ALSO a club sport, although I'm glad you are aware of Tech's progam. Southern's current enrollment is over 16,000, which if I'm not mistaken is larger than Tech, and State (combined? probably not). By the way have you heard of Six Flags over Georgia, that is not a theme park, but the National Football Championship Flags flying over Georga Southern. Granted we are Division 1-AA, but 6 national championship teams is something. I'm not looking for a pissing contest, but rather trying to share knowledge about this fine institute. Although, I'm not a Tech fan, I do recognize that Tech Grads on average earn more than grads from any other school in GA (that's the difference between engineers and teachers or Wal-Mart managers). Your statement about people in the Burbs of ATL maybe true, but to the rest of the state GSU is Southern.
