I think there are 2 kinds of people ...
Those that like severe V twin vibration and those that dont ...
I hate the damn 1100 virago's feel ... its a 75 degree ... my 535 which was 90 felt much better ... the GS'es feel fine as do most I 4's ... Heck I can even put up with the Yama-Triump - XS 650 ... the 1100 every time I open the throttle I have to feel that some damn thing has busted or is banging around inside the cases ... Just wrong ...
Cool.
Srinath.
There are two kinds of people in this world - those who divide people into 2 groups, and those who don't.
The new HD's with the rubber mounts are better than the older ones.
The bike vibes are not what bothers me... If it comes through the handle bars then that sucks
It vibrates all over ... worse the motor feels like there is a 100 lb dumbell running loose in it ... The motor has foot peg carriers fitted to it ... in a virago there is no down tubes and hence no way to even isolate it. And hell no rubber mount ... its hung by the heads ...
Cool.

The 750 and 1100 Viragos were 75* Vees, but the 535 Virago was a 70* Vee as are the 650 V-Stars whose engines are derived from the 535. The 250 is a 60* Vee. Your 70* 535 was smoother than the 75* 1100 because of it's smaller displacement.
I prefer the vertical parallel twins myself.
I'm a fan of the 90 degree L-twins (or v-twins if you prefer). They just LOOK better, and they are already balanced due to their positioning. It's sensible, and allows for a narrower engine than parallel twins.
Getting back to the 2 kinds of people and V twins theory, there are 2 basic kinds of people involved. Boys who prefer the very large 45* V twins because of the macho image and loud sounds they produce and girls who just love the vibes.
That vulcan 750 I had was closer to 60 I think ... some odd number 56 maybe ... and it wasn't bat at all ... of course in the 80's kawasaki made all their bikes rubber mounted and heck you could have had an 9.0 earth quake in the motor and not felt nothing. There was this GPZ 550 I rode once, it had a nasty ass sneeze type head gasket leak, but was still so buttery smooth you'd not even know the motor was running. I had to look at the tach to know it was when I had the clutch in ...
Cool.

So far you've listed four different types of people in your thread about there only being two types of people!? :dunno:
:P

Oh yea ... there are once again 2 kinds of people ... people that point out all the little discrepancies and those that read it and go ... aaaah that makes sense ... now what ... there is 6 kinds of people ... or 8 (its X times ... right ... )
Cool.
Srinath.
I disagree, I think there are 10 types of people... those who understand binary, and those who don't..
Respectfully,

Love it.
Of course you gotta know we're talking binary, not octal, decimal or hex.
It takes all kinds to make a world. Ride on...
there's srinath, and then, there's rest of the world...
There are at least 2 different type of men alone. Those who flush after they pee and those that flush while they pee and try to beat the toilet.
So, how many kinds of people do we have now? does this work like some kind of pyramid selling-chain letter thing ???? :dunno: :nono: :x :?

I want to know if Srinath is getting a cut of the Srinathmoto gear. Or could it be a partnership with GSTwin?
That thong is the bomb! Let's drag that thread out again!
See Srinath was supposed to get something cool like a coffee mug I think after 4-5 sales (when the cost of the mug was covered by sales and margin ...) and in the 5 months or so that the Srinath moto stuff has been for sale ... there have been a huge whopping Goose egg for sales ...   ... The point is ... that's exactly what I predicted ... who wants to wear a T shirt with someone else's name on it ... Kids and clueless clowns, and they would buy Abercrom whatever ... sounds like an old guy right ... or hillifer ... So I guess Srinath is gonna have to buy his own coffee mug ...
Cool.
Srinath.
hey I bought a t shirt and a f%$king sticker

I am not sure but I think I am better off not knowing ...
