Post by: cheesy on September 09, 2005, 08:48:29 PM
ok,..  had a gs500e...

ok.. my new bike... 05 zx6r.. is aweome... absolutely awesome.. for two things. 1) impressing chicks. 2) highway.

i REALLY want another GS.  badly. a 89-93 for cheap... grr. maybe in the winter or something.. new bike is somewhat reliable.. corners... blah blah blah.. honesly... I outran a ks1200r, s4r, s2r, zzr1200, k1200r, old zx6r (99).. on aNY twisties... any at all.. the hwy.. any straight at all and they blow right by.. but me.. with my girlfriend scraping my wileyco in the corners would rail them all. comfy (for the g/f anyway).

ok the new zx6r.. WAY more comfy for the rider.. NOT AT ALL for the passenger... I dunno.. it's a huge loss if i wreck it.. thats why i want a CHEAP CHEAP naken Gsl... gr...

I'll be the first to welcome you back -- when you get another one.

You're the second I've heard of --Roadstergal being the first -- that sold their GS500, then wanted another as their "rat bike".

Must be a form of sellers regret.  (You don't know what you've got 'til it's gone?) I know it will be bitter-sweet if/when I sell my GS500.  I'll always fondly remember my favorite firsts...   8)

I'm with Pablo.  No regrets... The SV was an all-around upgrade and it is so much nicer on the "boys" when riding 2-up.

I could see myself owning another gs someday- but only so I could lend it out or teach the lady how to ride.

:nono:  :nono:  :nono:  Hi-T ...
Well the SV is just a GS with some steroids ...

      Cheesy ... I have had I 4 sportbikes ... no big deal ... Yea Katana and Ninja 600's dont really count all that much ... but I have a GSXR 1100 as well and its gross over kill, street, twisties everywhere ...
Small and light 2 and 1 cylinder bikes make a lot of sense in our urban jungle. Highways and long distances call for a non sport bike anyway ...
Cool.
