I've got an '02 GS500, currently stock. Looking to buy aftermarket exhaust (probably V&H), filter, and jets for DIY rejetting (per all the recommendations I've seen in the forums here). Can anyone recommend a good online parts dealer? I'd like to buy everything in one place if I can.
While we're at it, anyone have another recommended setup? I've seen plenty of good things said about the V&H Supersport, K&N Lunchbox, and 150/40/1/3 jetting.
Thanks.
Rich.
wileco, same jetting and uni filter
i'm rejetting my 2001 as well. you can't buy everything you need from one place.

check your local hardware stores for the #4 washers and socket head bolts (4mm x .7 x 12mm).
JetSwing, I'm going to be running those exact same jets when I rejet coming soon. How many washers will I need and what are socket head bolts (4mm x .7 x 12mm) for?
I'm an idiot with carbs, please excuse my ignorance.

washers...one on each carb. i have extras in case i need to add more.
the socket head screws are float bowl screw (philips head) replacement. there's no way you'll get them loosen with a regular screw driver. you'll endup stipping the head. i haven't tried the impact wrench (i didn't want to spend money on it).
i got some off using a vise grip. you have to be very careful. the screws are very "soft". some that i couldn't get with vise grip, i slotted them using a rotory tool. then, used a flat head screw driver bit and scoket wrench.
THANKS, what kind of filters are you running with those jets (pods)? And do you have a slip-on/bolt-on or a full system exhaust?

i'm running k&n ru-2970 with a yoshi bolt-on.
Yea snipes ... use Jetswings parts ... for an 02 that 150/40 wont work. 89-00 only ... Check FAQ for more details.
Cool.
Srinath.
Thanks JetSwing and Srinath, I misread the FAQ. Correct parts are on order and I can't wait :)

when i bought the impact it was like 7 bucks at autozone. now that I have had it for a while I use it almost exclusivly to loosen bolts. dude you can't go wrong with one.
