Title: Oil coolers?
Post by: ampalm on September 10, 2005, 08:03:31 PM
I know the newer GS's have oil coolers. Anyway to fix one on a '96 gs500e. Just a Question. :P

probably could just use all the goods off of a newer gs onto yours. pan cooler and lines. do you have problems with over heating? i think the newer ones have it because of the fairings and the lack of air movement to that area so unless you have fairings or over heating your probably don't need to bother with one

No overheating problems. My another biker is a '96 nighthawk 750 and it has one. I just know running a cooler engine increases performance and things tend to last alot longer.
