BUMP NOTE:
The page is now several months old and is updated every week. I added a cheesy hit counter to gauge use. If you would like to assist me with a census of the GS, just PM me your VIN/frame number.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I have thrown together a census page with average eBay price HERE (http://home.bellsouth.net/p/s/community.dll?ep=87&subpageid=224590&ck=) as a community project.
The purpose is to give you a relative idea of how many GS500E+ are in the US.
How can you contribute? Just use the link on the webpage to send me an email including your frame number. Use "GS Census" for the subject line.
It will be added to my register and if your number is greater than the highest number I have, you just bumped the head count up!
No location information will ever be posted or available online. EVER.
Enjoy!

That would make things easy wouldn't it? :lol:
If I knew who to talk to at Suzuki, they may not want to give those numbers out just to keep Honda, Yamaha, and Kawasaki in the dark. Market oriented media rarely obtains those numbers directly. I work for a large international corporation. Getting market data from large international corporations is difficult at best. It might be more obtainable from indirect sources such as the government or insurance sources.
I know that insurance offices have listings of the VIN for automobiles. That is how they determine risk for a car. If you have a V8 engine in your automobile, the VIN will indicate that. I have seen this subscription based publication. I do not know if such a thing exists for all motorcycles.
Bumped with a new feature!
Heh... 2000s sold for less than '99s and '98s. How odd.
BUMP-O-Saurus. :)
