If I have to hear the talking shitbags on cnn say one more time that they have a court ordered injunction to allow them to videotape dead bodies floating in the water I'm gonna f%$king scream. They are so smug and self righteous. I'd like to kick Anderson Cooper down a flight of stairs right now. He just told a story of how they wouldn't let his crew film a dead body, so they waited till the police had to go away and then they filmed it anyway, because they have to document the whole story. I'd like to shove a camera up his ass right about now. The media sucks duck. I'd like to push the whole bunch of these cnn smug son of a bitches into the ecoli infested waters in the city. bastards.
Jake
Do you not want them to film it at all?
Or just not brag about getting the Constituion enforced?
it's the fact that they are being so damn smug about it. a little tact and decorum goes a long way. they are acting like the damn clelbrity magazine tabloid shows now.
bastards.

Funny. Sounds a lot like Fox News, if you can even call it news over there.
they're getting about the same
don't you know that it's all a big liberal propaganda machine run on oil money?
nah davipu its all on the demican or republicrat agenda
you know what the real problem is, it's those neocon greenpiece fuckers. they just duck up everything.
screw that. this is george w. trying to cover his ass. it's just like them not allowing the filming of caskets coming home from iraq. they want to pretend like it's not happening. people need to see the bodies, as gruesome as it is. we are all way to comfortable sitting in our air conditioned homes watching this from afar on tv. one of the few things that separates our country from facist dictatorships is free media, and even that is slipping away.
it's not just the free media thing. I work with dead bodies on almost a daily basis. they were so damn self righteous about it. They want a gorefest.
i can see where you are coming from, but in all honesty, i have to disagree. i have not seen a SINGLE body on tv. i don't know how you can call that a gore fest.
they've shown a few floating around. but they follow the damn trucks like there's nothing else going on.
I agree to a point- It definitely is their right, but show some effin' class and don't sensationalize the dead bodies, these are real people for crying out loud.

Yeah, I haven't seen Al Gore once in all of the Katrina coverage...
there's a thing called the 'power off' button.
use it once and don't touch it again :thumb:
fyi: everything on tv is BS.
ps. everything, except... nevermind. EVERYTHING
There's some shockingly gory motorcyle fatality photos floating around on the Internet that never make it to TV evening news as well. We should all be thankful for that. I think!
If it bleeds, it leads... That's life. If you dislike gore, don't watch the news.
I think it's f%&ked up that our government thinks they can stomp on freedom of speech and freedom of the press... THAT'S what's really f%&ked up.
But... I guess they're not all the familiar with that "Constitution" thingy anyway.

True. But cut him some slack. He DID invent the internet!
Try MSNBC. They may be the least obnoxious than the rest. Speaking of CNN does anyone remember Soladad O'Byan when she had a geekey computer show on cable.

i wasn't trying to stir up the whole freedom of speech issue, and if anyone I"m not the least bit bothered by gore or death, I"m an anatomist by trade. My initial post was more about their lack of tact than anything else.
Tact, like the dodo bird, has been extict for some time.
I'm not sure if it was Jerry Springer or A Current Affair that killed it.
I just watch the Daily Show and call it good. :dunno:

I'm not a big fan of Mr. Lockbox but he did a lot more than some people did. More importantly, he refused to be interviewed about the whole thing unlike goobers like Sean Penn that brought their personal photographers.
