narrower than the competition, and produces a claimed 123 hp at a dry weight of only 363 lbs
the new daytona triple from Triumph
Impressed by the speed which Triumph is bringing clean sheet models to the market. A 675cc eligible for 600 Supersport racing. They didn't have any luck with the I-4 against like competition, so, like they say, if you can't join 'em, beat 'em with something different. The 600 class is an insane trap. Two year product cycles! I'd be surprised if the Big 4 (or the Big 3 and Kawasaki) make a dime selling these company image builders. More likely, they make their profits selling 16 yr old GS500s at $5000 a pop.
Yeah, that bike is hot. I was walking along the other day and a guy rode by on a speed triple. That sounded pretty different, but very good. Not I am lusting after Daytonas and Speed Triples. Very cool. Have you ever been out to Engle Motors on Truman Road? They've got Triumphs in addition to all their BMW's.
I am probably going today, my buddy wants to check out a Speed Triple! He went and test rode a XB12R Firebolt at Gail's two weeks ago, but they want list for a new one, and even more for a modded used one! And he used to be a Yamaha guy.

no not yet , I've actually only been to Olathe Suzuki and Shawnee Cycle Plaza
Perhaps I should get out more..
I was down at the Lake this summer buying beer one morning in Osage Beach and Gail (or Gayle) was in the same store with her crusty old boyfriend. She is hot! Her hair is crap, but what a body. Nice skin too! I was in shock.
Destro, your buddy likes the same bikes I like!
You may need to get out more, but do yourself a favor: avoid Donnell's Suzuki out on 40 Highway. Those guys can be jerks.
That new Daytona is gorgeous! I really like that paint (gold-mustard?). :thumb: Thanks for sharing.

Funny you should mention that. I bought my bike back in May from a guy in Blue Springs, MO. He had all his service done at Donnell's...
Dirty Damn..
Wow... that thing is gorgeous. That is exactly what I want in a bike. Gorgeous sport bike looks, British sophistication and style, the great balance of power and torque of a triple...Too bad it's going to be ass expensive though :(
