Title: SV650 Chainguard
Post by: My Name Is Dave on September 14, 2005, 09:53:24 AM
Hey now. i saw the how-to on Pablo's site about putting an SV chainguard on the bike. I have a guy who will sell me one for $10 shipped. Is that even worth it? Just curious.

I read on Pantablo's page that the SV chain gaurd is a direct bolt on, so I was wondering if the SV hugger would work too, Im getting a wider wheel so it might be an option, yes no.

sv chain guards no longer fit on the gs 500f models. just fyi.

So I guess that it won't work, right?

I have tried fitting a SV chain guard on a GS swingarm. Without making a bracket it would not fit as a direct bolt on.

As for the SV hugger, it does not fit the GS swingarm. The SV swingarm is wider.

Ah crap. Forget it.

Is anyone interested in this? I will set you up with the dude's email address if you do want it. I think $10 is pretty good. Let me know. I'll email him at the end of the dayt and tell him to never mind, unless someone here wants it.
