Title: newbieone - anyone know him?
Post by: TarzanBoy on September 15, 2005, 08:08:32 PM
I made a deal with newbie (http://www.gstwins.com/forum/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=1614) to buy some of the items he listed in this thread (http://www.gstwins.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19915).  I sent him the funds via paypal 24 hours ago, but I have yet to hear from him either acknowledging the payment or informing me as to when he'll ship the stuff I bought.

My question is... does anyone here on the forum know him?  Needless to say, I'm nervous about the sudden lack of communication since last night when I sent the money via paypal.

I've done transactions with two other gstwin members, but they were locals and it was done face-to-face.

I'm hoping I don't get burned this time.

Newbieone Kenewbie ... old timer sorta ... maybe slow, but will come through ... I sold stuff to him, he was fine ... 24 hrs is nothing ... I have people that waited months for me to get off my ass and do something ...

Glad to hear that srinath.  I also am buying stuff from him, but I mailed a check, so I wasn't expecting to hear anything until Fri. at the earliest.

Srinath: That may be true, but you take the same amount of time whether its replying to someone or getting stuff out in the mail.

With newbione, he always replied to me in under 24 hours when we were haggling over prices....  so i found it strange for that to change all of a sudden just because i'd paid him (hence my post).

I thought I reply pretty fast ... I usually tell people if its going to be a wait though ... usually ... so there is no false hope.
Cool.

2/3 days is a fair waiting period for comunications depending on day of week.

now and then i have to miss posting for a day or answering email for 2days or so.  Ofcourse im generally in cold sweats, shaking, Blured vision and talking funny from withdrawl but fair.

even today, i was spose to get an item out to a member and forgot about a workers comp appointment and couldnt get to send it off, but i did inform him as soon as i was able.
