They've introduced (http://www.motorcycledaily.com/15september05_2006suzuki.htm) the 2006 GSX-R600/750. There's nothing up on the official site (http://www.suzukicycles.com/) yet, but you'll probably see an update of these bikes along with filling in the rest of the 2006 Suzuki line-up soon enough. :thumb:

I think the fairings are a little too busy, but (just like the R6) I'm loving that stubby little exhaust. Very happy they didn't do an undertail.
beautiful.
the first time since I got into motorcycling that I can honestly say the GSXR has looks on par with the R6.
and +1 on the exhaust. I really like this design approach better than the undertail.
if you took off the white and the big red letter, that is, made it all blue with the current black areas, i think that would be a really nice looking machine.
the big four tend to really overdo it on the graphics, imo.
yummy.
I agree on the graphics Will but some 'big four' dont-just look at kawasaki zx10r and 636. those are beautiful. my red honda isnt bad, the graphics being low key and not a big color contrast, unlike the black with silver wings.

Agree with the exception of Kawasaki. They tend to keep their fairings relatively flat with solid colors.
Hope they offer it with the red/black/white color scheme from the 2005 model (jealous of yours Roadstergal). I am in love with that bike and it would definitely become a front runner for whatever I step up to in another year or so.

Oh man. It's a pretty sweet scheme. I prefer the 2005 red instead, but this one is just fine. They should have made the white bottom black instead. Come early next year, I'm gonna be pretty damn tempted.
I didn't like the cyclops headlight on the 05 -1000, and I don't like it on these either. I do like the shape of the fairings and the exhaust, but agree that the paint and graphics are pretty busy. I much prefer the monochromatic look, with subtle accents.
I'm not sure how one could look at the bike and find objection.
Take all that plastic off and put on a round headlight... :thumb:
Does anyone know where I can read or has even seen any kind of reviews for the 2006 GSX-R600? I'm not talking about previews or something that lists specs. I'm talking about real press reviews of any type. Pretty active in searching for those things and I haven't seen a single thing yet. Plenty of stuff on the other 600s, but nothing on the GSX-R. Dealers keep telling me it's another week or so until they hit the lots and that red/black model is looking mighty fine right now.
At the shop I'm doing my co-op they have an 06' 600, It's up high in the storage room, but it looks damn good from far. I can't wait to take it down.
I love the blue wheels, but agree about the graphics, just too much.
What will be the MSRP on these 2006?
Have you seen the tail light and rear turn signals? BEAUTIFUL!!!
I've had all intentions of selling my bike and getting this...(http://www.suzukicycles.com/images/ProductImages/colorVariations/500/GSXR600K6_BlackGray_000000.jpg)
But after finding this site, I'm prolly 60/40 towards the GS...I'm first on the list at my local shop for when they come in this march...

So... any news that I can sink my teeth into yet? I still haven't found much.

I thought this bike was supossed to be red. Dosen't it look kinda orange?
oh..its red....and it looks awesome!
It's red. I've seen it on the streets before in San Antonio. It's pretty, but better in blue. :)
I can't wait to see the BLUE
Finally! Some sort of press.

It's not very large and it's not on the 600, but it's something. At least it looks like they're getting out to press for reviews. Hopefully in the next round of press magazine we'll see something. I did head on over to the local bike dealer and they had 2 600s in stock. The black/gray and white/silver/black one. The white doesn't look that good on the official site, but it looks amazing in person. The black looks good too, but not my thing. We did start to get some numbers working. Sticker was asking $11.5k OTD. I got them all the way down to $9.5k OTD. I was so close to signing on the white one, but I called my financial advisor (just hired last week) and he said I should get my financing through my credit union. I backed out. Really, I want the red/black instead.
A couple of things I noticed while I sat and stared at the 600. It's, by far, the lowest of the 600s. I was able to get my feet fully on the ground and I'm only 5'8". That full inch the seat hight dropped from last year made a world of difference. It was just as comfortable as the ZX-6R (http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=22350.0) I've riden a coupe of times. It looks amazing in person. That white one is very underrated. Other than that, it's just an all around nice bike that I can't want to get my hands on. They need to hurry and get the red/black one in!
Motorcyclist or Cycle World did an article on the new 600/750 GSX-R. Good article, too. Last month, I think.
I know. It was just an article, though. I've been wanting a full on review or, even better, the 2006 600 shootout. Haven't seen anything like that yet.
I looked at one of the '06s that they had up at the dealer in Roanoke. It was really really nice. I would really like to have one if not for one thing, insurance. My next bike will probably be an SV unless my insurance drops a lot when i hit 25 this September.
